Imagine Xochi Xo as a late twenties Chinese advertising executive, fabulously successful in her field. When a near-death experience pushed her sanity into a whole new realm of appraising reality, she left her illustrious career and gambled everything on her future as an artist. She is, thus far, the only one of the New Imaginists to actively pursue inclusion into the group, leaving her native homeland and venturing to the UK, where she met Herman Bean and insisted on becoming part of the movement. Herman apparently - as, at least, he tells the story - took one look at her and asked: “What took you so long?”
